Multiples of 15/16

Multiples of 15/16

We define the multiples of 15/16 as the product of any integer multiplied by 15/16. Therefore, to create a list of multiples of 15/16 we start by multiplying 15/16 by one, then we multiply 15/16 by two, then we multiply 15/16 by three, and so on.

To multiply a fraction by an integer, we leave the denominator alone and multiply the numerator by the integer. It is impossible to give you a list of all multiples of 15/16 because the list goes on forever. However, here is the math to calculate the beginning list of multiples of 15/16.

15/16 × 1 = 15/16

15/16 × 2 = 30/16

15/16 × 4 = 45/16

15/16 × 4 = 60/16

15/16 × 5 = 75/16

15/16 × 6 = 90/16

15/16 × 7 = 105/16

15/16 × 8 = 120/16

15/16 × 9 = 135/16

15/16 × 10 = 150/16

15/16 × 11 = 165/16

15/16 × 12 = 180/16

We have simplified the fractions above for you. Below are the multiples of 15/16 in their lowest possible terms:

15/16 = 15/16

30/16 = 1 7/8

45/16 = 2 13/16

60/16 = 3 3/4

75/16 = 4 11/16

90/16 = 5 5/8

105/16 = 6 9/16

120/16 = 7 1/2

135/16 = 8 7/16

150/16 = 9 3/8

165/16 = 10 5/16

180/16 = 11 1/4

As we stated above, the list of multiples of 15/16 goes on forever because the product of 15/16 multiplied by any whole number (integer) is a multiple of 15/16. You can also create a list of multiples of 15/16 if you keep adding 15/16 like this:

15/16
15/16 + 15/16 = 30/16
15/16 + 15/16 + 15/16 = 45/16
15/16 + 15/16 + 15/16 + 15/16 = 60/16

Again, the list can go on forever, because you can continue adding 15/16 to the list. Therefore, the list of multiples of 15/16 is ∞ (infinite).
